SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ADVISORY COUNCIL

Each year the United States Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR) conducts the "Toys for Tots" Program, which collects and distributes toys at Christmas time to needy children. Their goal is to enrich the lives of culturally and economically deprived children. USMCR units are responsible for the annual program and enlist the support of the community.

The Toys for Tots program was born in the Los Angeles area. The intent of the advisory council is to provide corporate support and assistance to the local coordinators to ensure the success and perpetuation of the annual toy drive in Southern California.

Mission Statement

The Southern California Area Advisory Council will provide advice and assistance to the Los Angeles Area Toys For Tots Coordinator. The Council will encourage the participation of corporations and individuals in the annual toy drive. The Council will also endeavor to create new ways to support the Southern California Area Coordinator and the USMCR Toys For Tots program. Lastly, the Council seeks to ensure the ethics and integrity of the program.
